About Tefball
What is Tefball?
Tefball is an engineered device intended for use as an interface between an implant and composite filling to cover the screw access channel during a dental implant procedure. It is quick to place, and easy to remove!
What makes Tefball unique?
The need for a product like Tefball came from the lack of a device used to cover the screw access hole when restoring dental implants that is clean, easy to remove, and quick to place. The most common material used today is a cotton pellet, tape, sponge or similar material, all of which are unhygienic, absorb moisture, harbour bacteria, and are hard to remove. We have all experienced this when we access the screw space and are exposed to a smell coming from whatever you are using to cover the access screw. Tefball serves the same purpose as a cotton pellet or similar material - to act as an interface between the screw hole of an implant and composite filling cover. Tefball is the superior choice due to its antimicrobial properties, and ease of insertion and removal, due to its unique physical design, material and durability. Saving you time and money, and providing a better outcome for your patients.
Our story
Dr. Lowe came up with the idea after years of frustration with traditional techniques. He was tired of how hard these materials were to remove and the unpleasant smell they produced - it was unhygienic and did not meet his professional dentistry standards. Dr. Lowe went on to design Tefball - a product that is clean, hygienic, and quick to both insert and remove. As a result, he saved chair time and produced a better outcome for both his patients and his team.
